Road Safety Club
Road Safety Club was inaugurated by Mr. JegaJeevan SI, Budalur (Traffic), on 19th June 2023. The club established as a means of teaching the younger generations with a view to inculcating good road behavior. This education plays an important role in shaping the attitudes and behaviors of children and young people ensuring they become responsible drivers.
Objectives
- To create Road Safety Awareness among the students and improve their knowledge and skills to reduce the accidents and develop young ambassadors to take up this to each individual
- Educating motorist and members of the public on the importance of discipline on the highways
- To provide an opportunity to students to be familiar with road safety educations
- To facilitate student's participation in decision making in an area related to road safety while traveling by bus, car, and motorcycle
- To involve students in action-based program related to safe road, safe speed, safe drive and safe vehicle
INAUGURATION REPORT
- Road Safety club is inaugurated on 19.06.2023 at our school premise as directed by the government.
- The session started with our Guest’s speech. He said, “Awareness on the road is very important for your safety and safety of others”. He discussed the statistics of various types of road accidents in Tamilnadu and explained the reasons that lead to these accidents. He further gave examples of various types of traffic violations and the penalties associated with them. He also urged the students to insist their parents to the help of road accident victims and stated that those who come forward are protected through the Good Samaritan Law.
