Janmashtami,the festival of celebrating the birth (janma) of the Lord Krishna on the eighth (ashtami) day of the dark fortnight of the month of Bhadrapada (August–September). The number eight has another significance in the Krishna legend in that. He is the eighth child of His mother, Devaki.
Krishna Jayanthi was celebrated by the teachers and students of Shemford Futuristic School at Budalur.
The school entrance and the lobby were decorated with beautiful rangolis.The foot prints of little kid lea to the Pooja Idol.
The celebration bloomed with lighting the lamp.
Pre Primary students dressed up in Radha -Krishna attires, they gave traditional touch to the entire celebration.
Primary and Upper primary students presented dance performances. Lord Krishna was decorated with flowers for the occasion . Various kind of food items have brought from home by the teachers and offered to Lord Krishna. Apart from religious importance , spreading of happiness through unity highted the significance of the modern India,The extraordinary bondage between children and Almighty was joyfully enkindled.
